About
At Woodfarm Woodworking, we build the heirloom furniture and home decor that will be enjoyed for generations. Our Story
The journey of Woodfarm Woodworking began with the purchase of two lathes shortly after Colin and Judy Gauthier moved back to Canada from England in 1987. Based near Kyle, SK, Colin used these lathes to turn wooden staircase spindles of all kinds. After nine years and contracts to supply spindles all over North America (including Home Hardware, Beaver Lumber, and Co-op), Colin began to incorporate furniture into the mix. Starting with smaller pieces, Colin soon moved on to larger ones such as full bedroom and dining room suites.
From the start, they decided to build quality rather than quantity so they use only solid hardwood. You will not find any chipboard in any of their products! Today, the team at Woodfarm Woodworking continues to pride themselves on the quality heirloom furniture they produce, one piece at a time.
They started showcasing their furniture at tradeshows around Saskatchewan and then branched out to Alberta and Manitoba. Their furniture can now be found in homes across all four western prairie provinces.
Locals and travelers alike can now browse and shop the large selection of furniture, home decor and gifts available at their store, open in the Swift Current Mall since September 2018.

What People Are Saying
We are very pleased with our bedroom and dining set from Woodfarm Woodworking. Pride and workmanship shows in the end product. Would recommend it highly for those that are reconsidering wonderful furniture.
We hired Colin to build us 2 pedestal desks and a joining corner computer stand for our office. They turned out beautifully. Great quality workmanship, solid wood, drawers that glide out smoothly. They delivered the furniture to our doorstep and set it up for us. Pleasant and efficient to deal with. Couldn’t be happier! We love our new desks!
While shopping for gifts for my brother recently, I was delighted to find this store. They have so many beautiful, hardwood home decor items that would made great gifts. I ended up purchasing a sleek stand that holds Keurig coffee cups. My brother loves it. Not only is it functional but it looks great in his kitchen.
